Job Summary

Duties
- Report into Head Chef and supervise daily food production activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Lead and manage the kitchen team in the head chefs absence, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a collaborative work environment
- Oversee food preparation processes, including ingredient selection, portion control, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and excellence
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of orders and optimal guest satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste through efficient stock management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Extensive kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results
