Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and general maintenance across our properties and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring buildings, equipment, and systems remain safe, functional, and well maintained while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, tiling, and minor electrical work where competent.
- Repair and maintain doors, windows, flooring, fixtures, and fittings.
- Install or replace equipment and building components as required.
- Maintain heating, ventilation, and basic mechanical systems where appropriate.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Complete maintenance records, job sheets, and reports accurately.
- Liaise professionally with tenants, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and request materials when necessary.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Assist with planned refurbishment and improvement projects.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Good knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance.
- Competence in one or more trades such as plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, tiling, or basic electrical work.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.

Working Hours
- Full-time.
