Southgate Pre-School is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Pre-School Deputy & SENCO to join their existing team. This position is term time only for 40 hours per week. We have an experienced and committed team who enjoy making learning fun at every opportunity.
A minimum NVQ level 3 in Early Years Childcare
At least one years experience working with 2-5 year olds, delivering a high quality learning environment through interaction and planned activities based on observations.
A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Framework.
Experience in setting up a varied range of activities for all areas of learning, using observations from these activities to assess a child’s progress and plan further activities to support learning and development needs.
A full understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection, Health & Safety, Food Safety and Confidentiality.
C Grades (Level 4) and above in Maths and English.
Southgate Pre-School use an online learning journey for all children so IT skills would be beneficial, however, training will be given where necessary.
Some experience and knowledge of risk assessments would be advantageous.
All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) and provide two satisfactory references prior to their employment.
