Are you a reliable Class 2 (Category C) Driver looking for a fantastic opportunity with a well-established waste management company? We are currently recruiting Class 2 Dustcart Drivers to join our client's friendly and professional team based in Buntingford.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly passed Class 2 drivers looking to gain valuable driving experience while enjoying a great work-life balance with early starts and early finishes.
The Role:
As a Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle on planned routes throughout the local area. You will work as part of a 3-person crew, collecting household and commercial waste safely and efficiently while providing an essential service to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) dustcart vehicle
- Complete scheduled waste and recycling collection routes
- Work closely with loaders to ensure collections are completed efficiently
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Adhere to all road transport legislation and health & safety procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
- Ensure all collections are completed within agreed timescales
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- To be physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safe working practices
