Overview
We are seeking an experienced multi-skilled refurbishment roofer to work as part of an existing team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across multiple roof types and be able to demonstrate versatility and craftsmanship. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. The successful applicant will be a proactive team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to various tasks within the construction environment. Applicants need to have a full driving license and be happy to travel to sites through out the South West.
Salary is negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems using various materials and techniques
- Operating power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled roofer or in a similar construction role specialising in roofing
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Proficiency with schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication skills
- Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to construction trades
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on site
- Excellent understanding of health and safety standards within the construction industry
- Physical fitness to undertake demanding manual tasks over extended periods
- Valid relevant certifications or qualifications are preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is valued highly and extensive ongoing training will be provided.
