Job Summary
R L Schroeder Transport Ltd is looking for a reliable, professional HGV Driver to join our team to cover driver’s rest days/holidays. 2 x nights a week covering a set run. Scope for overtime if wanted. The work will be doing deliveries to Lidl stores.
Duties
- Self-loading using onsite PPTs at warehouse and stores. (Training will be provided)
- Transporting refrigerated and dry goods (Frozen, Chill, Fruit and Veg, Bulk and Ambient)
- Conduct routine vehicle walk around checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Secure loads safely (Straps and bars provided)
- Maintain a professional and open minded attitude to the work.
- Opportunity to stop out in the truck if the driver wants to - nights out and meal allowance paid. Canteen and showers also on site.
Experience
- Training will be given to the right candidate.
- Valid driving licence and CPC
- 2+ years driving experience for insurance purposes.
- Good knowledge of fridge work advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Pay: £185.00 per day
