As our Lead Fire Risk Assessment Tutor & IQA, you will take responsibility for the delivery and internal quality assurance of our Fire Risk Assessment qualifications and associated training programmes.
You will work closely with the management team to ensure training is delivered to the highest standard whilst maintaining compliance with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Fire Risk Assessment training courses and regulated qualifications.
- Carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities.
- Standardise assessment decisions across the tutor team.
- Support assessors and tutors through coaching and quality feedback.
- Maintain compliance with awarding organisation requirements.
- Assist with qualification development and course improvements.
- Prepare for and support External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
- Review and improve learning resources and assessment materials.
- Ensure all learner documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Travel throughout the UK to deliver training where required.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
- Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent).
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification (Level 4 IQA, V1 or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of current fire safety legislation and guidance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging classroom-based training.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays.
Desirable
- Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent).
- Experience delivering regulated qualifications.
- Experience working with awarding organisations.
- Level 4 or Level 5 Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
- Experience developing training materials.
