We're looking for a Site Manager to join our HMP Glasgow team based in Glasgow.
Location: HMP Glasgow, Glasgow
Hours: 42.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Kier Strategic Projects are delivering HMP Glasgow, a £750M modern replacement for the aging Barlinnie prison situated North East of Glasgow. This exciting new build facility will deliver a modern, energy efficient, safe environment for 1600 inmates and staff utilising innovative Modern Methods of Construction. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team working on the site wide civil engineering elements of the project including reinforced structures, earth works and hard and soft landscaping.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Manager, you'll be working within the Civils team, supporting them in delivering this transformational project. Your day to day will include:
- Coordinating daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain project timelines and quality standards
- Monitoring progress against programme and maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication
- Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements and undertaking toolbox talks and site inductions
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Manager is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience working on large civil engineering or construction projects overseeing civils elements
- You possess strong communication and people management skills with an ability to work collaboratively
- You hold relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and a qualification in civil or structural engineering discipline
- You have an excellent understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety regulations
- You hold a Full driving licence and are proficient in project management software and digital site tools
