About the Company
We are a fast-paced, well-established manufacturing business based in Hull, specialising in high-quality pattern production for modular build applications. Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking to recruit a skilled Wood-Based Pattern Maker to join our dynamic workshop team.
The Role
You will be responsible for creating accurate wooden patterns used in our fabrication processes. Working from technical drawings and CAD models, you’ll use your craftsmanship and attention to detail to produce high-quality components that meet strict dimensional tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture wooden patterns using a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Repair and modify existing patterns as required
- Perform dimensional checks and quality inspections
- Collaborate with design and production teams to improve manufacturability
- Maintain accurate documentation and pattern records
- Work safely and efficiently
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery (required)
- Advanced Craft (desired but not essential)
- Previous experience as a Pattern Maker, Model Maker, or similar wood-based craft role
- Ability to read detailed drawings and 3D models
- Skilled in woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of tooling processes (advantage)
- CNC routing or CAD familiarity (bonus)
