Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and a well experienced Retail Business Operations and Development Manager to lead and optimise our retail outlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations via a team of site managers, driving business growth, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance overall performance and further develop the existing business. Responsibilities
- Lead the operational management of multiple retail outlets, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all locations.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales, optimise inventory management, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor store managers and staff, fostering a positive team culture centred on continuous improvement.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and implement targeted initiatives.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to plan promotional activities that drive footfall and brand awareness.
- Implement training programmes to enhance staff skills in customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor store performance metrics regularly and develop action plans for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or business operation
- Strong management skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities; ability to motivate teams towards achieving targets.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across various locations.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting sales data and financial reports.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Relevant management qualifications or equivalent professional experience are desirable but not essential.
This role is ideal for an ambitious professional eager to make a significant impact within the retail sector by leading operational excellence and business development initiatives. This Job will involve a lot of travelling between regions and business locations (Fife and the Isle of Skye in particular.)
