Specialist Floor cleaning and anti-slip treatment team leader
Sliptech is a niche business in the flooring services industry. Services offered to clients range from commercial specialist treatments ensuring new developments meet safety standards in relation to anti-slip flooring to maintaining both the safety and cleanliness of commercial environments such as leisure centres, hotels and spas and shopping centres to small domestic projects. Examples of our clients on the commercial side are large construction companies, Shop fitters, high end residential projects, elite hotels and spas, specialist tiling contractors, architects, sports facilities and facility management companies.
Reporting to the Company Director this role will be responsible for overseeing and leading the team and managing and being involved in multiple projects at any one time. They will also be a key player in supporting the current growth of the business. Project sizes vary greatly in time and length so flexibility in attitude and an ability to read and adapt to the requirements of the client is a key to success in this role. Due to the nature of this business and the size of the company this is a very varied role which requires input at all levels of the business so both managing to being part of the team. From the ability to ensure that projects are run smoothly, efficiently and to schedule on multi million pound, prestigious London based projects to taking a hands on approach and ensuring client satisfaction to our smaller project. They will support the directors and take an integral role in offering unrivalled knowledge, high quality workmanship and exceptional service as well as a commitment to the highest standards of safety, investment in their team and strong business ethics. Due to the nature of the role a lot of travel will be required and driving licence is a prerequisite. Also flexibility with regards to hours as this job will not be the same hours every week and the role will need to fit in around client demand. This means regular work out of normal hours will be required including nights and the occasional weekend.
Duties:
- Set realistic targets to ensure projects are completed in a timely manor
- Manage and undertake site work
- Report writing
- Liaising with clients
- Travel
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Planning project requirements and responsibility for ensuring all necessary equipment and projects are loaded to the work van
- Developing client relationships
- Assisting with development of operatives
- site visits to measure and quote on projects to assess works required and provide a through insight into project scope to enable accurate quotation
- dealing with client communication on and off site
The Candidate:
- Relevant construction related experience in either the specialist cleaning, tiling, stone or flooring industry or similar whereby skills can be transferred is preferable
- Can do and positive attitude
- Good IT Skills
- Focussed, trustworthy and taking pride in work with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
- Well presented
- Experience of planning, managing and overseeing multiple projects
- Personable, professional with good problem solving skills. Ability to think on your feet.
- full clean driving licence
- able to work flexible shifts during the week - both day and night shifts as required with overnight stays for further afield jobs
- A passport
- Must be commutable to Wivenhoe, Essex as regular requirement to pick up team from local area to travel to work
