Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance and Gardening Technician to keep our outdoor and indoor spaces safe, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, gardening duties, and minor repairs across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of gardens, lawns, pathways, and outdoor facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Perform gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, watering, mowing, fertilizing, and weed control to ensure lush and healthy landscapes.
- Carry out general maintenance duties including repairs of fences, gates, lighting fixtures, irrigation systems, and other outdoor structures.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues with equipment or facilities.
- Operate tools such as welding equipment, power drills, lawnmowers, trimmers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for various maintenance tasks.
- Supervise junior team members or volunteers during gardening projects or maintenance activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inventory of supplies and tools, and report any major repairs or safety concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to facility-related inquiries from visitors or staff with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance work with knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical components.
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting electrical or plumbing issues.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and repair procedures.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of supervising team members effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience supervising or mentoring others during projects.
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude toward assisting visitors or staff members.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
