Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver with Hiab and ADR experience to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed and Hiab lorries and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety checks are completed thoroughly.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies throughout each journey.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hiab driver , preferably with flatbed vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations within the UK, including tachograph rules and safety standards.
- Experience in handling cargo securely on flatbed lorries or similar vehicles.
- Previous experience in delivery roles is advantageous, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or equivalent certification.
