At the heart of this experience is Kin, our signature restaurant by celebrated Scottish chef Gary Maclean, celebrating the very best of Scottish produce, from land and sea to glass.We are now looking for a Chef de Partie ready to join a young and vibrant team and available to start immediately.The ideal candidate must demonstrate genuine dedication and show a commitment to consistent quality in our products and services.Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and timing
- Assist in the preparation and design of food and drinks menus
- Produce high quality plates, both design and taste wise
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and take ownership of any problematic situation within your section
- Help train and guide junior kitchen staff (commis chefs) within your section
- Order and manage supplies to stock inventory appropriately for your section
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie (or senior Commis ready to step up) is required, and must have previously worked in a fine dining restaurant
- Good knowledge of pastry would be a bonus
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with industry's best practices
