Butchery Operative
Location: Boston | Hours of work: 40 hours per week | Days of work: Any 5 from 6 days, Sunday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm
About the role
As Christmas approaches, we are looking for additional team members. As a Butchery Operative, you will be part of a warm and friendly team working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all Christmas products in the Butchery Department are prepared and packaged whilst meeting high standards and quality ready for delivery. You will possess a can-do attitude, be an effective team player, have great attention to detail, and be able to work in an organised, methodical, and professional manner.
Responsibilities will include:

Manufacturing value added products (Sausage, Burgers, Koftas, Pigs in Blankets & Turkey Ballotines)

Filling and sealing of vacuum pack bags

Metal detecting product
-
Collating of orders ready for delivery

Boxing and labelling product
-
Cleaning (when required, clean as you go)

Bagging of products, vacuum packing and making up boxes with orders

Completing of paperwork around collation area

Supporting all areas within the Butchery department when required based on operational needs
The successful candidate will have:

Knife skills and food manufacturing experience are an advantage

Good attention to detail and high standards of accuracy

Able to work within a fast-paced Butchery environment
-
Excellent time management skills
-
Good written skills and basic computer admin skills
-
Positive and calm approach to work
