Location – Thatcham
Annual Salary - £26,500 + 1 Sleep in a week = (£2,600pa) additional to salary
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring Therapeutic Residential Care Workers to join our ever-growing teams in the Thatcham and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who will make a difference for our Children & Young People, ideally with experience supporting Learning Disabilities and Autism (ASD), within their new home.
· You will need to be a fun and energetic person who is kind in nature and who wants to make a difference to the young people you will be supporting each day
· We would love for you to be a driver as you may need to support the children to get to school or to access a variety of community-based activities, hobbies or special interests across the week
· We want you to work as a team to provide our children with the best life chances and experiences as you guide them to a greater level of independence
· We need you to provide the very best care to our children and young people but also to your colleagues as some days can be challenging so supporting each other is important to us at CSfC
· With support from leaders, you will get to know each of the young people, building positive, trusting connections to enable you to understand their individual forms of communication, how they are feeling and ways to support them to regulate their emotions
· Ensuring children are made to feel at home in their surroundings is paramount, as is always keeping them safe (for which you will be trained in all aspects of safeguarding children and young people)

· Full time (minimum – 3 shifts per week) or part time contracts (minimum - 2 shifts per week)
Shift Patterns
We are able to offer a variety of shifts, with some flexibility. Most shifts tend to be a mixture of 7am to 10pm; 7am to 3pm or 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Sunday. You will be paid an additional £50 per sleep in duty (approximately 1 sleep required each week).

About Us

Based in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire. Calcot Services for Children provides warm, caring, family-style homes for children with complex needs and learning disabilities who are unable to live with their family.
Over the years, we have developed our homes to achieve outstanding outcomes for our children and young people which have been celebrated by loved ones, external stakeholders and our regulator, Ofsted.
This has been achieved by embedding our Trauma Informed and therapeutic principles to each of our CSfC colleagues, enabling us to consistently deliver these therapeutic interventions in all that we do within our homes which is supported by our In House Multi-Disciplinary Therapy Team (MDTT).
