About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about automotive technology and committed to delivering outstanding workmanship.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A recognised Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
- An MOT Tester qualification
- Electric/Hybrid Vehicle qualification or manufacturer EV accreditation (preferred)
- At least three years' experience working on light vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- The ability to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines
- A customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
The Role
As an Electric Service Technician / MOT Tester, you'll play a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing petrol, hybrid and electric vehicles, while carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards. You'll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer specifications, helping our customers enjoy complete confidence in their vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on petrol, hybrid and electric vehicles
- Perform MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Complete vehicle health checks and produce customer video presentations
- Identify and advise on any additional maintenance or repair work required
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures and workshop processes
- Stay up to date with the latest manufacturer training and emerging vehicle technologies, particularly electric and hybrid systems
