We're looking for an experienced and values-driven Retail Manager to lead our busy Bath Road shop in Cheltenham, driving commercial success while supporting companions and volunteers to develop skills, confidence and independence.

About the Role
As Retail Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance and development of our Bath Road shop in Cheltenham.
Working alongside companions, volunteers and colleagues, you'll create a welcoming, productive and inclusive environment while driving sales and maximising the potential of donated stock.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of shop operations
- Driving sales, profitability and performance
- Leading, motivating and developing companions and volunteers
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Maintaining high standards of merchandising and presentation
- Supporting stock management and donation processing
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Emmaus Gloucestershire community, including sharing site cover responsibilities
- Contributing to the growth and success of our social enterprise activities
No two days are the same. One moment you may be analysing sales performance, the next you're supporting someone to learn new skills, build confidence and gain valuable work experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced retail manager or supervisor
- Commercially aware and results driven
- A confident and supportive leader
- Passionate about supporting people to develop skills, confidence and independence
- Organised, practical and adaptable
- Committed to inclusion, sustainability and social impact
- Comfortable working flexibly on a 5-day-out-of-7 rota, including weekends
Desirable
- Charity retail experience
- Experience working with volunteers
- Experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds
What We Offer
- Salary: £27,583.40 per annum
- 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
