Available Opportunities
Bollywood Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Islington, EC1R
Day: Friday
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Contract: 18 September – 4 December
Children: Years 3–6 (ages 8–11)
Pay: £40 per hour
Lead energetic Bollywood dance sessions that introduce children to expressive movement, rhythm, choreography, and performance. Sessions should be engaging, inclusive, and suitable for children of varying abilities.
LEGO Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Clapton, E5
Day: Tuesday
Time: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
Contract: 15 September – 15 December
Children: Years 1–4 (ages 6–9)
Pay: £35 per hour
Deliver creative LEGO building sessions that encourage imagination, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving through exciting weekly challenges. Teachers are welcome to introduce their own ideas and themes to keep sessions fun and engaging.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging weekly afterschool club sessions.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Inspire children to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and new skills.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.
- Manage behaviour positively in line with school expectations.
- Ensure children's wellbeing and safety throughout each session.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and the Dance&Arts team.
- Arrive on time and be prepared for every session.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching or leading activities for primary-aged children.
- Experience in Bollywood dance, creative arts, LEGO clubs, youth workshops, or similar activities.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and engaging teaching style.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and able to commit for the full Autumn Term.
Desirable Skills
- Experience delivering extracurricular clubs.
- Dance teaching qualifications or professional performance experience (Bollywood role).
- Experience facilitating LEGO, creative building, STEM, or enrichment activities.
- First Aid or Safeguarding training.
