Passmark Education is a specialist tutoring company dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised GCSE and A-Level tuition in Maths and Science. We handle all the admin and planning support so you can focus entirely on teaching.
The Role
As a Passmark Education tutor, you will work with secondary school and sixth form students in their homes, delivering structured and engaging Maths and Science tuition tailored to each individual student's exam board and level. There is also scope for you to join our 1-week summer holiday intensive courses.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalised GCSE and A-Level tuition sessions in Maths and/or Science at students' homes
- Use diagnostic assessment data to identify and address gaps in student knowledge
- Follow structured session plans while adapting your approach to suit each learner
- Track and monitor student progress over time
- Communicate professionally with parents and our team
The ideal candidate
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supporting young people's learning
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or Science at GCSE and/or A-Level (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
- Located in or near the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, or Greenwich
- No prior tutoring experience required - full guidance and resources are provided
