We’re an established, much‑loved bakery in Purbeck, renowned for using fresh, quality ingredients to create everything from award‑winning artisan sourdough and our nationally acclaimed Dorset Apple Cake to our popular Street Pizza eat‑in, takeaway and delivery service.
We’re now delighted to be bringing our craft baking to Broadstone — and we’re looking for passionate, smiley and happy people to join our new team.
About the Role
We are offering an immediate start for the key roles for our new business. We are looking for an experienced, permanent, full-time or part-time Barista and all rounder, you’ll be the welcoming face of our new bakehouse. We are looking for team members who are adaptable and can carry out a variety of tasks from delivering food to tables, serve behind the bakery or ice cream counter, take orders for our Street Pizza service to clearing tables. You’ll serve customers with warmth and confidence, present our products beautifully, and help create the friendly, community‑focused atmosphere we’re known for. We have both day and evening shifts available.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver exceptional, friendly customer service
- Serve our customers with pride
- Maintain excellent product presentation and uphold brand standards
- Operate the till and handle payments accurately
- Assist with restocking, merchandising and keeping displays looking their best
- Support with packaging, labelling and preparing items for sale
- Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
- Contribute to a positive, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- Essential - Experience in a customer‑facing role (hospitality, bakery or café)
- Essential - Barista skills (latte art preferred but not essential)
- A warm, approachable personality with great communication skills
- Passion for great food, fresh ingredients and artisan bakery products
- Someone who thrives in a busy, fast‑paced environment
- Reliable, proactive and flexible with day and/or evening shifts
- A team player who brings positive energy and takes pride in their work
