Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or organisation as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures and hygiene protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales is beneficial
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
