Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide specialised educational support to children with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with students to enhance their learning experience, build confidence, and develop essential skills. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions tailored to each child's individual learning plan and needs
- Develop engaging lesson plans that promote active participation and foster a positive learning environment
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support children in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills alongside academic objectives
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support for the student
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and any behavioural observations
- Promote inclusive practices that respect each child's unique abilities and challenges
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Knowledge of special education strategies and inclusive teaching methods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning styles and requirements
- Passion for supporting children’s development and fostering a positive learning environment
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education are desirable but not essential; training opportunities will be provided for the right candidate
Working days
Mon - Friday AM/PM (Opportunities for weekends too)

Pay: £9.00-£22.00 per hour
