Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Community Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing vital assistance to individuals in need of personalized care and support. This role offers both day shift and sleep-in night shifts, allowing flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our clients. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering respectful, attentive, and proactive care. Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to promote independence and comfort.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities safely and responsibly.
- Monitor and manage behavioral challenges associated with conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's disease using patience and effective behavior management techniques.
- Assist with health-related tasks including first aid when necessary, recognizing signs of medical emergencies, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Create a safe and supportive environment by performing regular safety checks, managing risk factors, and ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Document client progress, incidents, and care activities accurately while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate closely with families, healthcare providers, and team members to deliver personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, senior care, and behavior management strategies.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assisting with mobility support safely.
- Certifications or training in first aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain these certifications is appreciated.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude focused on client dignity and respect.
- Flexibility to work both day shifts and sleep-in night shifts as scheduled.

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,164.90 per year
