Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant/bar Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant establishment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, culinary arts, and team leadership. The successful candidate will assist in managing restaurant and bar services, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and service quality. Previous experience in restaurant management, supervising teams, and a strong background in food preparation and service are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Waiting and Bar preparing cocktails and coffees
- Contribute to food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas.
- Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover.
- Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching to enhance team performance.
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues promptly.
- Cash handling.
- Support in organising special events or promotions within the restaurant or bar environment.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that promotes excellent hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally with supervising experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production, and beverage service including barista skills is advantageous.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities combined with organisational skills.
- Good understanding of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
