Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence and efficiency.
- Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities.
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and controlling food costs.
- Coordinate food production for various service periods, including banquets, fine dining service, and catering events.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor kitchen workflow to meet service deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen setting.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining and catering environments.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in food production, menu planning, inventory control, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and certifications related to food handling and sanitation.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management and communication skills.
