Overview
We are a growing mattress manufacturing company supplying high-quality products across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take full responsibility for managing and improving performance within our Mattress Department.
As Mattress Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving performance against KPIs, and managing a team to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong people management skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Mattress Production Department
- Monitor and analyse production statistics, KPIs, and output targets
- Ensure staff are meeting productivity and quality standards
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement strategies
- Conduct employee performance reviews and manage appraisals
- Implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where required
- Manage absence, disciplinaries, and HR processes in line with company policy
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Work closely with senior management to support business objectives
Experience
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager role
- Experience managing teams within a manufacturing/production environment
- Strong understanding of KPIs, performance metrics, and data analysis
- Experience conducting performance reviews and handling HR processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements
- Knowledge of UK employment practices and Health & Safety regulations
- Experience within mattress, furniture, upholstery, or similar manufacturing desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,174.00-£33,000.00 per year
