Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and organised Administrator to join our Residential Conveyancing team in Hartlepool.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys administrative work, takes pride in supporting a team, and is happy working in a dedicated administrative position within a professional legal environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department by managing essential administrative tasks and supporting fee earners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily administrative tasks including both manual and electronic filing
- Open, maintain, and close client and matter files
- Prepare and process outgoing mail and documentation
- Arrange photocopying and scanning as required
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and diaries for fee earners
- Provide support to secretaries and wider team members
- Handle client enquiries professionally, primarily via telephone
- Ensure confidentiality of all client and company information
- Support team members during periods of absence
- Contribute to improving departmental processes and efficiencies
Skills:
- Previous experience in an administrative role (legal experience desirable but not essential)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
