Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Young Persons Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. This role involves working closely with children and teenagers, helping them develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve their personal goals. The ideal candidate will be energetic, compassionate, and ready to support young people in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to young people, encouraging independence and personal development
- Assist in creating, implementing, and reviewing individualized care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
- Support young people with daily activities, including education, leisure, and social interactions
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals regarding progress and concerns
- Drive company vehicles when necessary to transport young people safely to appointments or activities
- Monitor and record behavioral changes or incidents accurately in accordance with organizational policies
- Foster a positive environment that promotes respect, inclusion, and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is highly desirable
- Valid driving license with the ability to drive company vehicles is preferred
- Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
- Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively while adapting to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with young people, families, and team members
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- A caring attitude combined with resilience, patience, and a proactive approach
