We’re looking for an experienced, confident and personable Simulated Game Shoot Host to join the team at Thimbleby Shooting Ground.
This is a hands-on role hosting simulated game shoot days, ensuring our guests have a safe, professional and memorable experience from start to finish.
What you’ll do
- Host and act as the main point of contact for shooting parties.
- Manage the gun line safely throughout simulated drives.
- Ensure high standards of shooting safety, etiquette and professionalism.
- Keep busy event days running smoothly and to schedule.
- Coordinate with trap loaders, caterers and estate teams.
- Help manage equipment, ammunition and stock.
- Welcome guests, build rapport and adapt your approach to different groups and abilities.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced shooter with a strong understanding of game shooting, clay shooting and shooting etiquette. You’ll be confident leading groups, highly organised and able to read the room.
You’ll also be:
- Punctual, reliable and professional.
- Well presented and personable.
- Safety-focused and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable working with a wide range of guests.
- Flexible and available to work weekends.
A background as a beat keeper, gun room attendant, current or retired gamekeeper, or similar shooting-related role would be highly desirable.
