About the Role
PlaK8 Security is a London-based boutique agency building a select team of Close Protection professionals for our 2026 portfolio. We provide calm, discreet, concierge-style protection for private clients, executives, and high-profile individuals across corporate, residential, and private settings.
This is not a role for everyone. We are identifying a small number of the highest-calibre operators to represent our brand — professionals who combine genuine operational capability with the composure, discretion, and presence that discerning clients expect. We are moving away from traditional models, prioritising professional judgement, emotional intelligence, and sophisticated de-escalation over a heavy-handed approach.
Key Responsibilities
Provide discreet, attentive close protection to principals across a range of environments.
Conduct risk awareness, route planning, and advance checks as required per assignment.
Manage personal security and access with a composed, professional touch.
Use advanced de-escalation to maintain a calm, secure atmosphere at all times.
Represent the PlaK8 brand with impeccable discretion and professional etiquette.
Requirements
Valid SIA Close Protection Licence (Essential). This role is exclusively for CP licence holders.
Proven experience in close protection, executive protection, residential security, or comparable high-trust environments.
Professional Presentation: Impeccable grooming and standards suited to discerning clients and settings.
Communication: A calm, confident, and sophisticated verbal style.
Additional Backgrounds Welcomed
We value diverse professional experience. Applications from former military and police personnel transitioning into the private sector are highly encouraged.
Equal Opportunities
PlaK8 Security is an equal opportunity employer. The private security industry remains around 90% male-dominated, and part of our mission is to open clear pathways for women into the profession. Under the positive action provisions of the Equality Act 2010, we therefore particularly encourage applications from female Close Protection licence holders. All applicants who meet the requirements are welcome and will be considered on merit.
