Working for a rapidly expanding business in Knowsley Liverpool you will be responsible for the management of the Ledgers and finances and managing existing and new accounting processes.

Your role will be broad and varied, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial aspects of this growing business.
Must have knowledge of accounting principles -Accounts Receivable, Payable & Credit Control procedures. with proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
Responsible for processing and recording daily financial transactions, including but not limited to, invoices, receipts, and payments, reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information. Must be self- motivated, proactive and able to work effectively to prioritise work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software Sage 50
Required Credit control experience ensuring customer payments are received on time, proactively recovering outstanding sales invoices as per agreed terms, reducing the debt of days to improve company cash flow with Cash flow reporting to MD
Creating and posting sales invoices, purchase invoices & credit notes. Producing reports in Sage with monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Sending customer statements/reconciling
Posting of daily bank transactions and preparation of bank reconciliations
Assist with submitting VAT returns to HMRC, confident to liaise with external accountants / tax advisors in preparing and submitting statutory accounts and taxation information.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers, addressing inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner. Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Admin/ad hoc duties as required. Answering queries by phone & email. Ensure all GDPR and data protection requirements are adhered to. Payroll experience advantageous.
Salary depending on experience
