About IAM RoadSmart
IAM RoadSmart is the UK’s leading road safety charity, dedicated to improving driving and riding standards and making roads safer for everyone. Through advanced driver training, driver rehabilitation programmes, and commercial fleet services, we work with individuals, businesses, and public sector organisations across the UK.
About the Role:
As part of our continued evolution to digital products and services, we are looking for a Digital Engagement & Solutions Manager. This role will play a pivotal part in understanding the organisations needs from digital and technology platform perspective, engaging with all internally and with our community stakeholders, and blending those requirements together to deliver solutions that enable the organisation to grow and prosper. Those solutions will be delivered working closely with chosen partners to ensure the platforms we have enable IAM to be the most effective and efficient as possible in delivering our key deliverables.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be the key interface between our internal teams, wider community and technology partners, understanding their needs and translating them into practical, achievable digital and system solutions. You’ll gather, document and agree requirements, specifications, delivery plans and timescales with project owners, ensuring each project has a clear investment case and defined benefits, including efficiency, customer experience and service improvements.
You’ll manage digital and systems projects from initial planning through to successful delivery, testing and go-live, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, integrate effectively with existing systems and meet the needs of internal and community stakeholders. You’ll work closely with product owners and business leads to understand future product and service development, helping shape our longer-term technology strategy and identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
You’ll also build and maintain strong relationships with technology partners and suppliers, ensuring contracts, Statements of Work, SLAs, objectives and delivery timescales are clearly defined and achieved. You’ll monitor project progress, costs and benefits, adapt plans where required, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and support post-implementation reviews and lessons learned. You’ll also ensure new systems provide meaningful data and insight to help us improve our services and customer experience.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering digital transformation, business systems or technology-enabled change, including end-to-end project delivery.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills, with the ability to turn business needs into practical, user-focused technology solutions.
- Experience implementing or improving enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, finance, membership or customer platforms.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in process improvement, systems integration, data and reporting, using technology to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Experience managing budgets, business cases, investment appraisals and value for money.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accountability.
- A strategic, analytical and proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- A strong customer and community focus, with professionalism, integrity and sound judgement.
- Experience within a not-for-profit, membership or customer-focused organisation is desirable but not essential.
What we offer in return:
- £50,000–£55,000 salary, depending on experience
- 35-hour Hybrid Week, with a minimum of 2 days per week in our WGC office
- Company Pension
- Birthday leave – an extra day off to celebrate your birthday
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Health Cash Scheme
- Reward and Recognition Programme – recognising and celebrating our employees’ contributions and achievements
