We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our energetic team in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and eager to develop their skills while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and cleaning procedures at all times
- Support kitchen setup and breakdown for service and any catering or special events
- Work efficiently during busy service periods to ensure timely food delivery
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager
- Take part in ongoing training to improve food safety knowledge and culinary skills
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an advantage, but not essential
- A genuine willingness to learn with a positive, hardworking attitude
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen tools is helpful
- Awareness of food hygiene and safe working practices
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and productive under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends
