We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Cafe Manager to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Cafe Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the establishment.
- Supervise and support team members, including baristas, servers, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Lead food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Manage customer service interactions, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all areas of the cafe.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels of ingredients, beverages, and supplies.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards, food safety procedures, and operational protocols.
- Support promotional activities and contribute ideas to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Previous experience in hospitality environments such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable.
- Barista experience is advantageous for managing beverage stations efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in service delivery and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to handle busy periods calmly whilst maintaining high-quality service standards.
