Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Rotational Shift 06:00am – 14:00pm / 14:00pm – 22:00pm
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing operation in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced engineering team, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our production equipment.
You will play a key role in maintaining machine uptime, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities.

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across production equipment.

Support machine uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.

Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and improvement works.

Record maintenance activities and machine history using the CMMS system.

Manage and monitor spare parts usage, helping to maintain critical stock levels.

Work closely with production, engineering, and external contractors to resolve issues efficiently.

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Contribute to continuous improvement activities to increase asset reliability and reduce downtime.
Essential Experience & Skills
-
Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

Experience working with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.

Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

Experience using CMMS software.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
-
NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent Engineering qualification.

Experience with press tooling.

Ability to operate workshop machinery including lathes, milling machines, pedestal drills, and surface grinders.

Experience within a continuous improvement environment.
