We believe accountancy is about helping clients achieve their goals, not simply preparing accounts and tax returns.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic AAT Apprentice to join our friendly team in our Bishop Auckland office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accountancy while studying towards the AAT qualification on a day-release basis. Full training and support will be provided, and no previous accountancy experience is necessary.
What you'll be doing
As part of our team, you will gain experience in a wide range of accounting and administrative duties, including:
- Preparing accounts using Excel, QuickBooks, VT and Xero
- Preparing VAT returns using QuickFile, Excel, QuickBooks and VT
- Assisting with payroll duties
- Bookkeeping
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
- Providing general administrative support to the practice
