At Plumbase Cleveleys we operate as part of the UK’s largest independent network of plumbing and heating merchants with over 310 sites nationwide. It’s a hands-on role with a strong focus on growth. You’ll spend a good chunk of your time out with customers, building relationships and bringing new business in, but you’ll also be part of the core team on site, keeping things moving and staying connected to the trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow revenue through proactive account development and re-engagement of underperforming accounts- Develop new business through existing industry contacts and local networking
- Manage relationships with key trade customers, providing tailored support and advice
- Deliver quotes, negotiate pricing, and support the counter team with product knowledge and strategy
- Represent the site at trade events, customer visits, and industry functions as needed
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager and wider team to identify growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
You might currently be a:
Business Development Manager within a merchants- Sales Manager within a merchants
- Trade Counter Sales Advisor looking to step up
- External or Internal Sales Executive within the trade sector
You’ll Bring:
Experience in plumbing & heating or builders’ merchant sales (essential)- A strong network within the local trade industry
- Proven ability to build and grow profitable customer relationships
- Confident in quoting, negotiation, and commercial decision-making
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working autonomously
- Full UK driving license (customer visits required)
