Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts and leading the delivery of their marketing activity across multiple channels.
This role combines marketing delivery with client account management. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their objectives, develop marketing strategies and communications plans, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to a high standard.
The Marketing Manager will also work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive, providing support and guidance where required and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality marketing activity for clients.
Working across multiple clients and projects, this role requires someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working at pace. The ability to move between different clients, sectors, and marketing activities while maintaining quality and consistency is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Client Account Management: Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, building strong relationships and maintaining regular communication. Develop a clear understanding of each client’s business, goals, and marketing priorities.
- Marketing Strategy & Planning: Develop marketing strategies and communications plans for clients, ensuring activity aligns with their business objectives and supports measurable outcomes.
- Marketing Delivery: Create and deliver marketing activity across a range of channels, including writing website content, blogs, email campaigns, newsletters, and social media content. Plan, schedule, and manage social media activity and contribute to the development of wider campaigns.
- Campaign Management: Plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing campaigns across digital channels including social media, email marketing, websites, and online advertising.
- Email Marketing & Automation: Create and manage email campaigns and marketing automation journeys, including content creation, segmentation, scheduling, and performance analysis.
- Content Creation: Write high-quality marketing content tailored to each client’s tone of voice and objectives, ensuring it supports SEO and wider campaign goals.
- Website Content Management: Update and manage client websites through CMS platforms, ensuring content remains accurate, relevant, and optimised.
- Marketing Performance & Client Growth: Monitor the performance of marketing activity across client accounts, reviewing analytics and campaign results to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide clients with insights, recommendations, and proactive ideas to support ongoing marketing performance and business growth.
- Supporting the Digital Marketing Executive: Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive, providing support, guidance and oversight where required while collaborating on the delivery of marketing activity across client accounts.
- Project & Workflow Management: Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with external suppliers such as designers and developers where required, ensuring work aligns with project requirements and client expectations.
This is a development role so there may be opportunities to support the business in other areas and additional responsibilities may therefore be added. Suitable training will be provided from within the team and externally (as required).
