Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Person to look after the day-to-day upkeep of our growing portfolio of residential, commercial, and temporary accommodation buildings. This is a varied, hands-on role covering everything from minor repairs to general upkeep across multiple sites — reducing our reliance on subcontracted trades for routine jobs. A company van will be provided for transporting tools and materials between sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across residential, commercial, and temporary accommodation buildings (e.g. changing light bulbs, fixing doors, unblocking toilets, minor plumbing and electrical fixes)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests across multiple properties
- Carry out basic planned preventative maintenance to keep buildings safe and compliant
- Collect and transport materials and tools between sites as needed
- Flag any repairs beyond your scope or requiring a specialist trade
- Support development sites with general labouring or maintenance tasks when not needed elsewhere
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised approach to work, including basic health & safety compliance
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in property maintenance, general repairs, or a handyman role
- Broad general skillset across basic plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and painting/decorating
- Full UK driving licence (essential — company van provided)
- Able to work independently, prioritise your own workload, and use good judgement
- Comfortable working across multiple buildings and property types (residential, commercial, HMO)
- Reliable, punctual, and personable — will interact with tenants, staff, and site teams
