Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental nurse who would like to develop their experience within specialist dentistry.
The Role
As a Dental Nurse at Shiraz Specialist Dental, you will play an important role in supporting our clinicians and providing an excellent experience for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality chairside support to specialist clinicians
- Preparing instruments, materials and specialist equipment for treatment
- Supporting and reassuring patients throughout their visit
- Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous patient records using SOE/Exact dental software
- Following infection prevention, decontamination and cross-infection control procedures
- Managing clinical materials, instruments and stock
- Assisting with reception and other practice duties when required
- Following practice policies and procedures and supporting compliance with CQC and GDC requirements
- Providing patients with appropriate pre- and post-treatment information
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse
- Has a minimum of two years' post-qualification dental nursing experience
- Is confident working in a busy clinical environment
- Has excellent standards of patient care and infection prevention
- Is professional, organised and dependable
- Is friendly, approachable and confident communicating with patients and colleagues
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is proactive and works well as part of a clinical team
- Is comfortable using dental software and Microsoft Office
- Meets relevant occupational health and immunisation requirements for clinical dental practice
Previous experience in specialist dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery or sedation would be advantageous, although specialist training can be provided to the right experienced candidate.
