The Business
Situated in the heart of the English Lake District in a unique and idyllic location on the shores of Lake Windermere, we are a well-established and successful, family-run café business at a very popular tourist destination. The site in Bowness is a ‘little sister’ cafe to our main site on the shores of Coniston Water.
Open daily throughout the year, offering a basic café menu with a barista coffee machine and a selection of our home-made cakes.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a full-time seasonal team member to work in our established café business in Bowness. You would work along side our existing small capable team.
Duties to include: FoH preparation for the day, customer service, use of EPOS till system, cash handling, preparation of hot and cold drinks using a Sanremo barista coffee machine, basic food preparation including making sandwiches, clearing tables, serving milkshakes and smoothies, all general duties at close of business. Full training given if you do not have previous experience.
You must be happy to work in a small team of 2/3.
The Person
We are looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic person who has a ‘can do’ approach. Someone who is happy working independently and in a small team. Good time keeping and trustworthy are a must.
You must be well presented with the highest professional standards, have common sense and attention to detail, sharing our passion and commitment to deliver the very best customer service as well the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants must be legally able to work in the UK with NI numbers and bank accounts and speak English fluently.
The Offer
Starting hourly rate of £13.00 per hour plus holiday pay (£14.57).
Average 40 hour week over 5 days. Day trade. No late evenings or split shifts. 9am to 5.30pm. Includes some weekend working.

Food on shift and uniform provided.
