Job Role: Site Manager – Full Time
Location: Cambridgeshire (Site Based)
Due to continued success and company expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience delivering commercial refurbishment projects for a main contractor and will play a key role in managing projects from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all day to day site activities and operations.
· Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors on site.
· Deliver projects in line with agreed programmes and milestones.
· Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports.
· Take full responsibility for site Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, RAMS, and site specific requirements.
· Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and regular safety audits, promoting a positive health and safety culture across the project.
· Identify and manage risks, ensure safe systems of work are implemented, and promptly address any health and safety concerns or non-conformances.
· Monitor and inspect works to ensure quality standards are achieved.
· Maintain accurate site records, diaries, permits, and documentation.
· Coordinate all trades and disciplines to ensure works are delivered efficiently and safely.
· Interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
· Assess buildability and identify practical solutions to site challenges.
· Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed to the required standards.
· Lead site teams by example and maintain a professional, positive working environment.
· Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Essential Requirements
· Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor.
· Experience delivering commercial refurbishment projects.
· SMSTS qualification.
· First Aid certificate.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.
· A positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work effectively within a close knit team.
