Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team on an ongoing refurbishment project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in various aspects of fabrication, assembly, and installation. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering precise joinery work, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and collaborating effectively with other trades. The role includes a range of first and second fix carpentry works with a strong focus on quality finishing.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, and timber stud walls
- Kitchen installation
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, roofing support structures, and general construction joinery
- Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing structures as required
- Second fix joinery including skirting, architrave and finishing works
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery roles within the construction industry
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable for site travel purposes
- Own tools are necessary
- Fire door installation experience is preferred

Pay: £170.00-£200.00 per day
