Location: Harworth, Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire border (office-based)
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 per annum inc bonus (37.5 hour) depending on experience
Contract: Full-time or part-time considered
Bonus: Two performance-based schemes after six months
About the Role
We’re a successful, design-led furniture and home interiors brand seeking a Head Buyer & Interior Design Lead with both creative and commercial flair. You’ll shape our buying strategy, guide product design direction, and ensure our ranges combine trend insight with strong margins and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead buying, supplier negotiation, and range planning across furniture and home interiors.
- Use sales, margin, and budgeting analysis to drive profitable decisions and stock balance.
- Oversee the critical path from concept to delivery, holding teams and suppliers accountable for timing and quality.
- Work directly with factories in Asia to manage production, materials, and compliance.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to deliver compelling, commercially successful collections.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–2+ years’ experience as a Head Buyer, Lead Buyer, or Senior Buyer (ideally furniture/interiors or similar).
- A strong understanding of quality, design and trends
- Proven ability to analyse product performance, margins, and budgets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
- Confident managing multiple projects and overseas suppliers.
- Commercial understanding
