Drift Limits is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Motorsport Technician & Instructor to join our growing team. This is a unique hybrid role where you'll split your time between maintaining our incredible fleet of vehicles and delivering unforgettable driving experiences to our customers.
Depending on the demands of the day, you'll be working either as part of our workshop team or out on circuit instructing customers, making this the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical and customer-facing sides of motorsport.

Drift Limits is one of the UK's leading motorsport experience providers. Based at The London Motor Circuit in Hemel Hempstead, we offer everything from learner driver experiences and drifting tuition through to GT race cars, historic Formula 1 machinery and high-performance supercars.

The Role
As a Motorsport Technician & Instructor, you'll become an integral part of both our workshop and track operations. Your responsibilities will vary depending on business requirements, giving you a varied and rewarding role that combines engineering, problem solving and customer interaction.
Whether you're preparing race cars before an event, diagnosing faults in the workshop or coaching customers around the circuit, you'll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle and every experience meets the high standards Drift Limits is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Duties
- Service, maintain and repair our fleet of race cars, supercars and specialist vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across both modern and classic vehicles.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise vehicle reliability.
- Prepare vehicles for events and ensure they meet operational standards.
- Work independently and as part of the workshop team to meet deadlines.
- Assist with vehicle improvements and fabrication where appropriate.
Instructor Duties
- Deliver professional driving instruction across a variety of experiences.
- Coach customers on racing lines, vehicle control and driving techniques.
- Ensure customers receive a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.
- Conduct vehicle checks throughout the day and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
- Represent Drift Limits in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Experience working within the automotive or motorsport industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with excellent fault-finding ability.
- Confident working on a variety of vehicles.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to move between workshop and instructor duties as required.
- A genuine passion for cars and motorsport.
Desirable
- Previous race team or performance workshop experience.
- Motorsport instructor or racing experience.
- MIG/TIG welding.
- Engine or gearbox rebuild experience.
- Fabrication skills.
- Motorsport qualifications.
Don't worry if you haven't instructed before, we provide full instructor training for the right candidate.

Working Hours
Our venue operates seven days a week between 08:00 and 18:00.
Working hours are flexible, however regular Saturday availability is essential due to the nature of the business.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Salary
Competitive salary, dependent on experience, skills and working pattern.
