Are you passionate about livestock farming and ready to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Agriculture with a specialism in livestock to join our Landbased team at Bishop Burton College. Whether you are already working in education or looking to bring your industry experience into the classroom, this is an opportunity to share your expertise and help shape the future of farming.
You may currently be working on a commercial livestock farm, managing beef, sheep or dairy enterprises, or supporting farmers through an agricultural advisory, animal health or livestock production role. Alternatively, you might already be teaching or delivering training and looking for a new opportunity within a specialist land-based college.
As a Lecturer in Agriculture, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons and practical activities that bring modern livestock production to life. Working closely with colleagues and our commercial farm team, you will help students develop their knowledge, practical skills and confidence, preparing them for successful careers across the agricultural sector.
You will bring relevant industry experience, strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people. A degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject, such as agriculture, livestock production or sustainable agriculture, is required.
If you do not already hold a teaching qualification, we will support you to achieve one, making this an ideal opportunity for an industry professional looking to take their first steps into teaching.
