Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. You MUST be willing to act as a room leader as well in your day to day duties. We are looking for a candidate to start soon.
Duties
- Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Leading, motivating and supporting the nursery team.
- Stepping in as room leader.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, welfare and child protection.
- Ensuring the nursery operates in accordance with the EYFS statutory framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Supporting Room Leaders and practitioners with curriculum implementation, observations and children’s development.
- Monitoring staff performance and supporting supervision, training and professional development.
- Ensuring appropriate staff deployment and ratios are maintained.
- Supporting recruitment, induction and probation of new staff.
- Building excellent relationships with parents and carers.

What You’ll Need:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Experience working in an early years setting
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for giving children the best start in life
