Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and support the daily living activities of our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in their daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as required.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in elderly care.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
- Experience in developing or following care plans will be beneficial.
