Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. Duties
- Offer personalised support to children and young people, encouraging their social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Assist with daily routines, including organising activities, attending appointments, and helping with personal care when necessary
- Mentor individuals through various challenges, promoting confidence and independence
- Deliver engaging educational activities tailored to individual needs, fostering learning and skill development
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support plans are implemented effectively
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents in accordance with organisational procedures
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment that encourages participation and positive interaction
Requirements
- Prior experience or interest in mentoring, teaching, or working with children is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required
- Relevant qualifications or training related to childcare or social care are advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised approach with good time management skills
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and applying best practices in support work
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
